UNLIMITED HORIZONS … my Latest Sculpture And First Piece Dated 2011

UNLIMITED HORIZONS is about ‘ the journey ‘ … not just the destination! As I see it, over and over again LIFE and its beautiful orchestration reminds us that it is a continuum and that we never really ‘arrive’ , no matter how sincerely we want to. There is always another scene to see, another mountain to climb, or another piece to create! And the GOOD NEWS is that in that flux and constant shift and change – we hopefully grow and add wisdom and understanding to our being – and that each experience and situation offers to us the opportunity to advance to a higher level – coupled with more joy and peace – deep, deep, within our souls. That joy and peace of mind that ‘passeth all understanding’. The journey seems so daunting at times and every once in a while, insurmountable. As we reach deep within and grapple and ponder and pray – we realize that such is the wonder and awe of life … it truly is a JOURNEY … and hopefully we can keep our wits about us and even reach out and lend a hand to our fellow travelers! Sometimes it’s fun to venture out alone but most of the time I find the trip is a lot more fun with lots of friends and family!
Interesting to me that this is the first sculpture I’ve created for the market in over two years and after one of the most challenging of lifes’ experiences – a divorce. My goal was to create a piece that would give us all hope and inspiration that there really are no limits to our VISION and experiences if we remain positive and are willing to dig deep and do the very best we can. As this young pilot looks up at the vast skies and contemplates his next flight he is fully aware that although he is going to arrive at his destination, his journey has only begun! He realizes that there will be many storms and course corrections, but that not only the destination but the JOURNEY will be worth it !
